Training in the administration and use of the INTERGROWTH-21st neurodevelopment tools can be organised for:
For institution(s)/person(s) wishing to use the Package for commercial or non-commercial purposes, please contact us to arrange a training and/or to discuss your use of the Package.
- The entire Package
- Any of the individual components of the Package i.e. vision, cortical auditory processing, the INTER-NDA or actigraphy
- Any combination of the components above.

NON COMMERCIAL USE
For academics and clinicians who intend to use the Package for non-commercial purposes, on-site training is preferable. The institution(s) subscribing to the Package will be responsible for:
- Making on-site arrangements for the training
- Covering travel, accommodation and allowable expenses for the trainers
- Contributing to trainer costs per trainee
- Recruiting children to participate in the training
- Organising consent and reimbursement for the participating mothers and children
- Purchasing kits and/or other equipment required
- Subscribing to Oxford University's and the INTERGROWTH-21st Project's policy on data access, data sharing and collaboration should they choose to use the NDA's tablet based application.
COMMERCIAL USE
For organisation(s)/person(s) wishing to use the Package for commercial purposes, including access to consortium data, please contact us to arrange a meeting.
TRAINING SESSIONS
Training sessions on the Package or its components usually consist of:
The duration of the training usually depends upon:
- Pre-tests
- An explanation of concepts and methodology
- Step-by-step explanation of the administration protocols
- Demonstration by the trainer/expert assessor
- Role play practise sessions
- Live practise sessions on children, followed by reliability checking and feedback
- Inter-rater and test-re test reliability checking
- Use of the tablet based application and database
- Protocol adherence and standardisation
- Cultural customisation and translation
- Post-tests
- Measuring early child development in the clinic and in research
- Actigraphy pre-processing and processing
- Standardisation protocols and QC
- The use of the INTER-NDA in younger age groups
The duration of the training usually depends upon:
- The number of persons to be trained
- Whether a training of trainers session is needed
- What components of the Package are being subscribed to.
