Training in the administration and use of the INTERGROWTH-21st neurodevelopment tools can be organised for:
  • The entire Package
  • Any of the individual components of the Package  i.e. vision, cortical auditory processing, the INTER-NDA or actigraphy

  • Covering travel, accommodation and allowable expenses for the trainers
  • Contributing to trainer costs per trainee
  • Recruiting children to participate in the training
  • Organising consent and reimbursement for the participating mothers and children
  • Purchasing kits and/or other equipment required
  • Subscribing to Oxford University's and the INTERGROWTH-21st Project's policy on data access, data sharing and collaboration should they choose to use the NDA's tablet based application.

COMMERCIAL USE

For organisation(s)/person(s) wishing to use the Package for commercial purposes, including access to consortium data, please contact us to arrange a meeting.

Training sessions on the Package or its components usually consist of:
  • Pre-tests
  • An explanation of concepts and methodology
  • Step-by-step explanation of the administration protocols
  • Demonstration by the trainer/expert assessor
  • Role play practise sessions
  • Live practise sessions on children, followed by reliability checking and feedback
  • Inter-rater and test-re test reliability checking
  • Use of the tablet based application and database
  • Protocol adherence and standardisation
  • Cultural customisation and translation
  • Post-tests
Depending upon the need of the institution/project, dedicated sessions can also be conducted on:
  • Measuring early child development in the clinic and in research
  • Actigraphy pre-processing and processing
  • Standardisation protocols and QC
  • The use of the INTER-NDA in younger age groups

The duration of the training usually depends upon:
  • The number of persons to be trained
  • Whether a training of trainers session is needed
  • What components of the Package are being subscribed to.
For example; a training session in the entire Package for 5 assessors will take 5 full days. A training session in only the INTER-NDA for 5 assessors, will take 3 full days.
